Social Event Success

Hello All,

The Class of 2020 had their first social event of the calendar this week. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to continue as planned. The students really enjoyed the evening and it was great to see them all smiling, laughing, talking, enjoying and participating in the activities. Thank you to all involved in creating a brilliant evening; students, parents, teachers, PE staff and maintenance staff.

Lots of photos to follow soon :D

Have a wonderful weekend.

Social Event!

Dear Parents and Class of 2020,

Exciting news! Our first after school social event is next Wednesday the 23rd of September 3:30 - 6:00pm. Parents, please arrive on time to collect your children. There will be dodge ball for all, football, basketball, music, food, water games and a few surprises.

Students will be informed on Monday which colour tshirt they will need to wear during the event. If they could wear a bandanna of the same colour this would be beneficial for the team sports events. A snack and drinks will be provided during the event. However students should bring a bottle of water and something small to eat if they want to between school and the social evening beginning. Normal school uniform is needed during the day and they can change afterwards.

We ask that all students stay in school between 2:00 and 3:30pm when the event will start. Many I'm sure will have extra curricular until 3pm, this then gives them time to change into their evening sports outfit including the correct colour tshirt.

Thank you for your support and grade 8 I look forward to seeing you for a fun evening and getting to know you better.

Character Building

Dear Parents and Grade 8,

This week during lifeskills students used their creative skills to create role plays, scripts, songs, poems and dramas to show the values that build our character. Pupils looked at the values they looked at in 'What Defines Me?' to think of what values we have to build character. The results were fantastic, a joy to see and hear. Well done all.

Following this lesson students participated in the Independence Day Assembly and festivities.

Wising you all a relaxing and joyful Independence Day and holiday!

Friendships :)

Hello Parents and Students of the Class of 2020,

Here are the students, in their life skills working on 'Strengthening Friendships'. They looked at the necessary things for a good friendship and how they can work on their friendship to strengthen them. They expressed their ideas of friendship through selecting images and adding words and symbols to create friendship collage boards.

Let's promote strong, happy friendships and always think of each other.
