Options Evening and Parent Teacher Meeting

Good Morning,

 The IGCSE options evening and parent teacher meeting will be taking place next Thursday 4th February. The options evening will begin at 5:30pm in the PAC. The parent teacher meetings will follow at 6:15pm and end at 8:30pm. Your child/children has/have been given an appointment form. Please tell them when you will be available that evening so they can make the 5 minute appointments with teachers early next week. When they make the appointment with their teacher they need to write the teachers name and subject on their form. Appointments are for 5 minutes only and the times need to be kept in order for this to work. We ask that your child accompanies you to this meeting.

 La noche de opciones de IGCSE y de reunión de padres y profesores será el próximo jueves 4 de febrero. La presentacion de las opciones comenzará a las 5:30pm en el PAC. A continuación será la reunión con los profesores a las 6:15pm y finalizará a las 8:30pm A cada alumno se le ha entregado un formulario para hacer citas. Por favor dígale a sus hijos la hora que tienen a disposicion para que ellos puedan hacer sus citas de 5 minutos durante ese tiempo. Esto sucederá a principios de la próxima semana. Cuanda hagan la cita con su profesor necesitan escribir el nombre del profesor y la materia en el formulario. Las citas son de 5 mins y es necesario mantenerlas en este orden para que todo esto funcione. Pedimos que por favor sus hijos los acompañen a esta reunión.

THE APPOINTMENT FORM

Students ask their teacher for an appointment. The student and teacher agree on a time (5 minutes). The student writes the teachers name and the subject on the paper I gave them next to the time they agree. 

Revision

Good Morning, Grade 8 students should be busy and focused upon revision over the next few weeks. The CAL exams count for a lot of their CAL grade in CAL 2. So get revising Grade 8, don't leave it to the last minute and have to deal with the disappointment of poor results. I have sent all of your revision materials in an email, with the attachments and website links I have received from your teachers. If you have any questions please ask your subject teacher directly in lessons or by email. Good luck, happy revision!

Grade 8 CAL exams

Good Morning, A reminder to students and to let you, the parents know. CAL exams will now begin one week earlier on the 11th February. Students please revise thoroughly, these exams are very important for your CAL grades.

Happy New Year!

Good evening all, I would like to wish you parents a Happy New Year. We have had a week back at school and the students have settled back in well. Our first assembly of the year was about making healthy choices in 2016. Healthy eating habits, healthy exercise habits, healthy and wise choices and making time to relax and get enough sleep (at least 8 hours). Later on this week we had an outside speaker talking to students about a healthy diet. Our other life skills lesson was about the brain and what it takes to make connections, learn, recall and make sensible choices.
