Hello Parents and Class of 2020,
I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday. I have attached a few photos of my science class finding out how fireworks work by investigating which element burns to give which colour of light.
I hope you have a lovely break,
Miss Gowman

Hour of Code
Good Afternoon,
This week the students continued to look at their next move and got more insight into how they can develop their interests and skills here in school either in lessons or in extracurricular activities or by being involved with charity work.
Today students spent a life skills lesson doing 'Hour of Code'. It is an introduction to Computer Science, its aim is to demystify code. Please see this website for more information. Maybe your child/children can try this at home. https://hourofcode.com/us
I hope you all enjoy the last weekend before the holidays!

My Next Move
Dear Parents,
Last week students completed an online quiz to help them decide their future careers. This quiz is designed to show students their personal strengths and likes in order to guide them towards a career they are well suited to. After completing the quiz they emailed their results to themselves, therefore please ask your children about this. You can discuss their results and what careers might possibly suit them. Many students already have ideas on the subject they would like to study and the university they would like to attend. The combination of these results and the CAL results issued soon will enable a more detailed discussion on achievable goals and help you in guiding them towards their chosen paths.
