Welcome back to school, I hope you all had wonderful holidays.
So the last term is here. Students, time for your last push of effort in grade 8. So focus, try, ask, achieve, strive and reflect.
Option choices are being worked on. Students need to keep checking their emails as some will be called in for meetings with regards to this.
This week during life skills students received a lesson by an outside speaker on the dangers of alcohol and drugs and continued working on their diversity projects. I had the chance to see all groups and they are all working on interesting projects which range from a specific country to world religions, sexual orientation and world music. I am looking forward to seeing the final products.
Uniform and lates are an issue. 27 students were in Friday after school detention last week due to being late to school. This can be easily resolved in future. Students must be in tutor class and ready for the register at 7am. Many students are also receiving late cards for turning up to lessons late. There is no reason for being late to class. Gather your things and walk quickly to the next lesson. Leave before the bell at lunch and break. Cards are also going to be issued for wrong uniform, so everyone please make sure you have your weeks written in your planner like I said in August and make sure you are dressed correctly before arriving at school so that you know you have everything (ties...).
